If you follow me on social media then you know I gave birth to a  little girl two weeks ago. Thalia (Taaah-Lee-Yaa) Sky was born on March 21st, 2016 at 10:46am. Thalia, is named after one of the nine muses, Zeus’s daughter and the Godess of Comedy, let’s hope she’s funny!

She’s a perfectly beautiful little peanut that I’m not quite ready to share her with the world just yet, although I did post this photo of us at our seven day shoot.

I’m enjoying this little babe so much and if I could bottle up her beautiful baby smell into a vile I would probably make gazillions! I can’t believe that I’m a mama of three… I was anxious and terrified of the thought, yet the transition has become seamlessly natural.

Perhaps I’m older, as I remember being terrified to be home alone with both my other children when they were newborns. With T, I embrace it! I’m more patient, and I know that her fussiness, gassiness and lack of sleep is a temporary thing and that makes me so much more relaxed.  I love waking up with her and bonding with her, all the things I feel like I somewhat dreaded before, now seem to be so special. Reasonably it’s because I know she’s my last, or maybe I’m just smarter and I know how fast time will fly.

I’ve received several emails, texts and Facebook messages regarding  my ability to go out, be alert and happy and losing weight post my pregnancy. The weight thing I’ll address in another post. I will say that I still have 10 lbs to lose but I’m grateful I didn’t gain a ton this time around, I worked out through majority of my pregnancy and I craved ice… yes ICE! Not ice cream but good ol crunchy ice! I probably ruined my teeth but it certainly kept the weight from piling on.

Now, as far as being happy and getting out and moving on with my life. Well, pregnancy is never easy for me. I don’t love it and I don’t feel like myself. This pregnancy was particularly difficult as I had quite a few complications throughout. So when Thalia was finally here and healthy, the happiness, joy and relief made me high! I don’t take this babe, or being pregnant or the miracle of life for granted for a second. I never did with my other babes either. I was and am always on the go with my other two births/kiddos as well! I love life, I love living it and I think parenthood is amazing. I have fairly easy deliveries and was out of the hospital within 24 hours so I can get back to my other babes and back to life! Every pregnancy and delivery is different and every person is different, so please don’t beat yourself up about it if that’s not how it happens for you. I will say, that majority of what we’re capable of and our energy levels is in our heads. A lot of it has to do with who you are as a person. There are definitely days I’m exhausted but I’m always able to push myself and make sure I make time for my husband, my children, my parents, my friends and my work.

I’m back to work and back to blogging and raising my three beautiful kids. I feel extremely honored to be their mother and beyond blessed for their health.

Thank you for following me on my journey and for all your incredible love and comments!
