A SOFITEL STAYCATION

Last weekend  was certainly one for the books! I've been planning my hubby's Surprise Birthday Party since February and, let me tell you it was no easy task.

Hubby is somewhat of a spy... no seriously the guy sees and hears everything and sometimes I think I'm married to someone who is from the KGB. For those of you that know him know exactly what I'm talking about!

But I digress, really what made this weekend so perfect, besides the fact that I was able to pull this entire surprise off without him knowing is how amazing Sofitel Chicago was.

The beginning of his surprise was that we stayed at the Presidential Suite at the Sofitel on the Magnificent Mile. It is a gorgeous room fully stocked with our favorite things, chocolate, rosé, incredible views, amenities and the best room service in town.

Originally I had a plan to checkin and then hang out and grab some dinner before his big 50+ people "SURPRISE" at DrumBar. However after checking in we simply couldn't leave... I took three bubble baths, not kidding!

The next day, surprise #3 was the incredible private brunch at the newly renovated Le Bar. The floors of this place are TDF!!! Chef really went out and set up the most incredible table scape filled with the freshest croissants and other French pastries, the most exquisite cheese boards and charcuterie boards. Along with a gastronomy of yogurts, parfaits, and puddings. They also had the most insane beaker installation of infused water and coffee. It was simply beautiful!

I honestly don't think I can say enough incredible things about this weekend... it truly was an insanely memorable time with our family and friends...
